Personal Background

Barbara Singer grew up in Chicago's North Shore and raised her son and daughter in Deerfield. She attended University of Illinois where she studied Therapeutic Recreation. She worked as the Executive Director of Suburban Special Recreation Associations and has volunteered with local hospice organizations. She has written a textbook on special needs populations, and has authored articles and spoken nationally on the subject. When she's not helping clients buy and sell their homes, you can find Barb performing improv at Chicago's Second City.
