NORTHBROOK, Ill. (June 1, 2009) - The traditional open house is taking on a new twist this spring with homes being shown during twilight. Thursday,
June 4 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is once again hosting their popular Twilight Open House with several homes being shown
in the Highland, Schererville and Lansing communities.
The Twilight Open House is a creative way to make a listing stand out and allow buyers to view homes during the weeknight. "It's important to be as innovative as possible when selling a home," said Donna Zisoff, manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Highland office. "Showing homes in the evening presents them in a way you don't get to see during the day. It also gives us an additional chance to develop relationships with potential buyers."
These sunset showings are more relaxed than the traditional Sunday open house, and are geared toward the working professional and empty-nesters who find it more convenient to view properties after work rather than on a weekend when many people are committed to family obligations.
"For some buyers, their weekend time is valuable and they don't want to load the family into the car on a Sunday afternoon to view homes," said Zisoff. "Instead, these twilight showings offer buyers another outlet to view homes and because it's during the evening it's a much more relaxed atmosphere. Also, with twilight open houses, buyers can view multiple homes in one evening."
