IAR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

 

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (October, 2009) - Doug Carpenter, managing broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Glen Ellyn and Oak Park River Forest office, was awarded the 2009 Illinois Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award. The IAR Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have provided outstanding contributions and service to all three levels of the Realtor® family; local, state and national.

Having over 23 years of experience, Doug brings strong leadership and professionalism to many Realtor® organization committees and working groups. Doug was one of the first inductees into the National RPAC Hall of Fame in 2002. He chaired the IAR Political Fundraising Working Group for two consecutive years starting in 2003. In 2007, he chaired the RPAC Major Donor Working Group and continues to be involved in government affairs and advocacy issues at all levels. He has given his time and talents for the last 12 years to the Real Estate Educational Foundation, serving as past chair of the Banquet and Scholarship subcommittees, and this year he also serves as President.
