• Participated in the Aurora Back To School Fair for 4 years handing out school supplies
• Donate book bags and school supplies to the Marie Wilkinson Day Care Center in Aurora
• Present a stay in school program to the 8th graders at Simmons Middle School in Aurora for 4 years

Personal Background

I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago.  I attended public schools in Aurora, Illinois.  Thereafter, I earned a BS degree in Business Administration from SIU in Carbondale, IL.  and a BS degee in Computer Science from Aurora University.   I have been employed by Alcatel-Lucent (formerly AT&T and Lucent Technologies) for 23 years.  In my spare time I am actively involved in my children's sport activities and school functions.  I have volunteered in the community for 15 years with the Aurora Urban League TSTM program, the Aurora Sundowners Track Club and the Telcom Pioneers.  I have also held back to school fairs for children at risk.  I enjoy making crafts and being creative with my sewing machine.

I serve the western suburbs of Chicago but will travel to Chicago.
