More about Mike Stern

Real Estate knowledge

When consumers understand market dynamics and the buying & selling process, everything else will fall into place. Mike Stern strives to educate his clients in all facets of buying or selling of a home. Timing of the sale, along with marketing the home properly to achieve maximum equity return for sellers; and market analysis to ensure buyers secure the best home for their financial situation and lifestyle. Full disclosure, honesty, humor and excellent follow-up have contributed to Mike’s repeat and referral business.

Clients & Communities

Mike has worked with a broad range of clients over the years: first time buyers and senior/estate clients are a specialty; with right sizing and move-up buyers a close second. Assembling a team of trusted attorneys, lenders, tradesmen and home clearing & organizing professionals help make transitions seamless and (almost) worry free. Mike Stern’s real estate career has centered around Evanston, Skokie (Lorel Park) and the surrounding North Shore and City of Chicago communities. He is ready with a referral to other quality agents in the area(s) of your choice.

Education & Experience

Mike has 20+ years of real estate experience and maintains a managing broker’s license (more rigorous education, additional responsibilities when “supervising” brokers; held to a higher standard). Mike Stern received his BSBA from the University of Denver; working in the hotel industry before becoming a Broker. An Eagle Scout and as well as an Order of the Arrow inductee, Mike has used scholastic and life experiences to enhance his client service and leadership skills.

Giving Back

Mike organized and lead The Rose Warriors Relay for Life team in Evanston, and for 5 years was the top fundraising team in this American Cancer Society sponsored event. The St. Paul’s Soup Kitchen was another endeavor that Mike organized and lead for five years. This work/family/friends group came up with menus, shopped, cooked, and served meals to 80+ people twice a year.

Personal

Mike has lived in the mid-west his entire adult life. He and his wife settled down in the Lorel Park area of Skokie where they raised their son and two dogs. Now that the dogs are in doggie heaven and their son has moved out; Mike and his wife moved to a lakefront condo in Edgewater and are enjoying beach and city life.
