Marlene Calders began her professional career in advertising and marketing as an Executive Recruiter for three Fortune 500 Companies. There she honed her skills in sales, recruitment, negotiation, and customer service. The skill set acquired in Executive Recruitment served Marlene well as she embarked on a new career and became a licensed Illinois Realtor in the early 2000’s. Marlene designed and built luxury homes for several years on the North Shore of Winnetka. New home construction was challenging and fulfilling but she pivoted to residential sales and broadened her territory from Chicago’s North Shore to include all points northwest as far out as St. Charles and Elgin.

Marlene was raised in Park Ridge Illinois in a large family. After her education at DePaul University, Marlene carved her own path to the big city where she productively lived and worked. Once married, she moved to the North Shore, to raise her 3 sons, became an agent, and began her new career in real estate with the most exceptional brokerage in the country--Coldwell Banker.
